A small shop sells 280 different items. Every item is identified by a 3 - digit code. All items which start with a zero (0) are cards, all items which start with a one (1) are sweets, all items which start with a two (2) are stationery and all items which start with a three (3) are toys.
Write an algorithm by using a flowchart, which inputs 3 - digit code for all 280 items and outputs the number of cards, sweets, stationery and toys.
Q. Take an array A[20, 10] of your own. Suppose 4 words per memory cell and the base address of array A is 100. Find the address of A[11, 5] supposed row major storage.
Q. By giving an example show how multidimensional array can be represented in one the dimensional array.
Q. Explain the various memory allocation strategies. Ans. M e m ory Allocation Strategies are given as follow
Comparison Techniques There are several techniques for determining the relevancy and relative position of two polygons. Not all tests may be used with all hidden-surface algori
In this respect depth-first search (DFS) is the exact reverse process: whenever it sends a new node, it immediately continues to extend from it. It sends back to previously explore
Q. Illustrate the result of running BFS and DFS on the directed graph given below using vertex 3 as source. Show the status of the data structure used at each and every stage.
What do we mean by algorithm? What are the characteristics of a good and relevant algorithm? An algorithm is "a step-by-step procedure for finishing some task'' An algorithm c
In the last subsection, we have implemented a stack by using an array. While a stack is implemented by using arrays, it suffers from the basic restriction of an array - i.e., its s
a. In worst case the order of linear search is O (n/2) b. Linear search is more competent than Binary search. c. For Binary search, the array must be sorted in ascending orde
Explain the Scan-Line Algorithm This image-space method for removing hidden surfaces is an extension of the scan-line algorithm for filling polygon interiors. Instead of fillin
