Q.Waht are Standard Temperature and Pressure?

The agreed set of conditions for comparison of gas volumes is called standard temperature and pressure (abbreviated STP). It is defined as:
Standard temperature = 273 K or 0 oC Standard pressure = 1 atm or 760 torr or 760 mm Hg or 101.3 kPa
Note: atm is the abbreviation for atmospheric pressure; torr is a small pressure unit that is synonymous with mm Hg, or millimeters of mercury; and kPa stands for kilopascals.
