So we are getting down to the question of North v. South in the Civil War. By now you should have read about slavery and the Northern abolitionist minority argument against it. Moral issues aside (since the overwhelming sentiment in the North and South prior to the war was that Africans should never be allowed consideration as full human beings much less citizens), follow this: Can anyone tell me when the larger slave/serf (serfs were communal rather than personal slaves) systems in Brazil and Russia were ended?
