Solve the value of x and y , Mathematics

Assignment Help:

7(y + 3) - 2(x + 2) = 14, 4 (y - 2) + 3(x - 3) = 2

Ans:    7(y + 3) - 2 (x+ 2) = 14          --------- (1)

4(y- 2) + 3(x - 3) = 2 ----------(2)

From (1) 7y +21 - 2x - 4 = 14

On solving, we will get....

2x - 7y - 3 = 0 ------------- (3) From (2)        4y - 8 + 3x -9 =2

On solving, we will get....

3x + 4y - 19 =0 ----------------- (4)

2x- 7y - 3

3x + 4y - 19

Substitute this, to get   y = 1 and x = 5

∴      x = 5 and y = 1
