SIMO Chart Flow Diagram
The flow diagram is a drawing indicating the paths of men materials or components on a scale plan of the work area, department or factory. The first step is to prepare a flow of the work area to scale and position the machines and other plants correctly. The activities alt the various work area are then indicated by their numbered symbol. The paths followed in transport are shown by joining the symbol in sequence by a line which represents as nearly as possible the paths of movement of the subject concerned. The direction of movement is shown by the numbered transport symbols which form part of the flow lines. An example of a flow diagram is shown in figure
