Q. Show the Purification of Metals?
The metals obtained by metallurgical processes still have some impurities which persist from the ore or are derived from the flux or the fuel used. In order to get pure metal, further purification or refining is required. There are several methods available for purification, depending upon the behaviour of the metal and the kind of impurities present. Some refining processes are designed to recover valuable metal impurities also, such as, silver, gold and platinum.
