In the sarcomere there are organized myosin and actin blocks. Tropomyosin and Troponin also appear associated to actin.
The actin molecules when activated by calcium ions liberated in the proximities of the sarcomere are pulled by myosin molecules this interaction between myosin and actin shortens the myofibrils originating the phenomenon of muscle contraction.
