Q. Show the Liquation in purification of metals?

Crude tin, bismuth and lead are purified by liquation. In this process, the impure metal is placed at the top of a sloping hearth maintained at a temperature slightly above the melting point of the metal. The metal melts and flows down the inclined hearth into a well leaving at the back the solid impurities.
