When model is required to provide an aid merely for visualisation, scaler reproduction of form is sufficient which is termed Geometric Similarity. If in addition reproduction of fluid motion is desired, laws of Kinematic Similarity are required to be followed. Study of hydrodynamic fluid forces is, however, more useful when Dynamic Similarity is required to be achieved in the model, conditions for which are two fold.
