Show the african-american civil rights movement, History

Assignment Help:

Two key figures in the African-American civil rights movement in the 1960s were Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. These two men--one southern, one northern--had distinctly different views on the methods necessary to achieve political and economic freedom.

Your assignment is to read two pieces from King (Letter from a Birmingham Jail) and Malcolm X (The Ballot or the Bullet). You will then write a brief (2-3 page) essay in which you compare and contrast these two men's views.
