Q. Show Conceptual Layout of plant ?
During the Evaluate phase of a project, the early concept design considers broad information of the expected installation, and its basic criteria. These may include:
• Expected location of the facility.
• Overall facilities to be accommodated (stick build or modular).
• Basic positioning of key plants/units.
• Linkages if any to existing facilities (including any simultaneous operations issues).
• Expected pipe-rack/conveyor style (elevated, ground level).
• Likely plant orientation.
The objective for this project phase is to produce an overall conceptual layout.
Distinguishing between "stick build" and "modular" early on will help in overall Facility Design by providing insight to requirements for clearances, access, space allocation, etc., necessary to lay out an efficient and maintainable arrangement of equipment, buildings, pipe racks, loadout areas, etc.
