Short-Term Measures for Technical Loss Reduction
The short-term measures involve measures needs for immediate improvement and reduction of losses within the system. These are based upon the information / data readily available along with the utilities. The works proposed under this plan should be based on the sample studies/statistical check/scrutiny of the existing system details.
Short-term Measures for Technical Loss Reduction
A combination of one or more of the above measures would have to be taken to bring the losses down to acceptable levels.
If a compressor in a system can change a message crest factor from 3.2 to 2, while maintaining its peak amplitude constant, find the decibels of improvement in signal-to-noise rati
Dielectric Heating Dielectric losses occur in insulating materials. These are same as hysteresis losses in magnetic materials. When an alternating electric field is a
Critical Rate of Rise of Current The maximum rate of increase of current during on state which the SCR can tolerate is called the critical rate of rise of current f

Schottky diodes The schottky diodes have very fast recovery time and low forward drop. The current ratings of these diodes vary from 1A to 300 a and maximum allowable
How to solve questions on thevenin theorem
Q. In an RLC series circuit excited by a voltage source v(t), for R = 10 , L = 1 H, and C = 0.1F, determine v(t) if the capacitor voltage vC(t) = 5e -10t V.
Q. Draw and explain an RC integrator .Derive the relation between input and output voltage. Solution: A circuit in which the output voltage is directly proportional to the
