In this section, we will discuss about Sequential file organization. Sequential files have data records stored in a particular sequence. A sequentially organized file might be stored on either a serial-access or a direct-access storage medium.
Structure
In order to provide the 'sequence' required, a 'key' has to be defined for the data records. Generally a field whose values can uniquely identify data records is chosen as the key. If a single field cannot fulfill this criterion, then combination of fields can serve like a key.
This is a unit of which targeted on the emerging data structures. Red- Black trees, Splay trees, AA-trees & Treaps are introduced. The learner must explore the possibilities of app
The first assignment in this course required you to acquire data to enable you to implement the PHYSAT algorithm (Alvain et al. 2005, Alvain et al. 2008) in this second assignment
C compiler does not verify the bounds of arrays. It is your job to do the essential work for checking boundaries wherever required. One of the most common arrays is a string tha
Data Structure and Algorithm 1. Explain linked list and its types. How do you represent linked list in memory? 2. List and elucidate the types of binary tree. 3. Descr
In the array implementation of lists, elements are stored into continuous locations. In order to add an element into the list at the end, we can insert it without any problem. But,
Explain Internal and External Nodes To draw the tree's extension by changing the empty subtrees by special nodes. The extra nodes shown by little squares are know
Q. Give the algorithm for the selection sort. Describe the behaviours of selection sort when the input given is already sorted.
Q. Write an algorithm INSERT which takes a pointer to a sorted list and a pointer to a node and inserts the node into its correct position or place in the list. Ans: /* s
Complexity classes All decision problems fall in sets of comparable complexity, called as complexity classes. The complexity class P is the set of decision problems which ca
