Scheduling and Sequencing:
This unit begin with the basic concept and the role of scheduling in industry. Several job- sequencing rules to address the manufacturing process are also described. On the basis of certain objectives, the performance of these sequencing rules is also analyzed. The significance of learning along with some of the plotting techniques is also discussed. Keeping in mind the role of planning and control procedure in the industry, different planning and control systems have also been discussed along with appropriate example and relevant figures. Later on, the importance of scheduling and its role in the high continuous system also have been discussed. Finally, various planning approaches have been addressed along with some improvement techniques. Suitable examples are also described to easy and clear understanding of the sequencing and scheduling processes.
