Ross Operation : In this technically demanding operation, the aortic valve is replaced by patient's own pulmonary valve (autograft) and a pulmonary or aortic allograft (homograft) is used for replacing the pulmonary valve. The advantage of this operation is that the autograft in the high-pressure aortic position will last indefinitely.
