Rolling - Binder:

The layer thickness is 40-50 mm. Rolling is done in three stages :

Initial Rolling

By 80-100 kN smooth wheeled roller.

Intermediate Rolling

By 80-100 kN vibratory roller or by pneumatic tyred roller.

Final Rolling

60-80 kN tandem roller.

Rolling is done till the laboratory density is achieved.
