The portrayals are based three recorded interviews, observation of a health care visit, environmental data (recruitment site, home, community, and advanced health care facility) and literature related to participant's clinical concern(s). Analysis and interpretation borrowed multiple frameworks from the literature of continuing adult learning to search for the occurrence of informal learning and educative influence. Each portrait proposes diverse examples of educative influence and learning made necessary by the specific concerns of each person's predicament.
