Explain the retailers in primary participants of distribution channels.

Retailers:

Retailers are all the establishments involved in selling merchandise for household or personal consumption. They are differentiated from wholesalers by the fact which they sell primarily for eventual use. Even though wholesalers may also sell to eventual consumers, it selling activity doesn’t form the bulk of their operation. A variety of kinds of retail establishments exist within the Indian market today ranging through sophisticated departmental stores and supermarkets to restricted time stores catering to some customers and carrying limited merchandise.
