Resource management for project, Mechanical Engineering

Assignment Help:

Q. Resource Management for project?

An important factor in overall project success is the provision of suitable and adequate resources. The initial estimate of engineering manhours and schedule provide the basis for the planned resource allocation (manpower) to a project.

Just as important as the original manpower plan is the subsequent monitoring of resources. Project changes in scope and schedule along with an ongoing evaluation of progress measurement can lead to deviation from the original plan and the need to re-assess manpower allocated to the project.

In consideration of the above, the Lead Mechanical Engineer will undertake periodic reviews (weekly, bi-weekly, etc., as identified in the Project Execution Plan) of engineering performance (manhours planned/ spent, progress) in order to determine if any corrective actions are required.
