Related Structure Functions:
There are many functions which can be used with structures in a MATLAB. The function isstruct will return 1 for logical true when the variable argument is a structure variable, or 0 when not. The isfield function returns the logical true when a fieldname is a field in the structure argument or a logical false when not.
>> isstruct(package)
ans =
1
>> isfield(package,'cost')
Expanding a function: The expand function will multiply out terms, and factor will do the opposite: >> expand((x+2)*(x-1)) ans = x^2 x-2 >> factor(ans)
Use of While loop: Here is an illustration of calling the function, passing 5000 for the value of the input argument high. >> factgthigh(5000) ans = 5040 The itera
Example of file ploting data: As the other example, a data file called 'compsales.dat' stores the sales figures (in millions) for divisions in a company. Each line in the f
Initializing the data structure - Function: Function is shown as: >> printcylvols(cyls) Cylinder x has a volume of 169.6 Cylinder a has a volume of 100.5
Illustration of Graphics properties: A particular property can also be exhibited, for illustration, to view the line width: >> get(hl,'LineWidth') ans =
Replacement : Replace a row by adding it to (or subtract from it) a multiple of the other row. For a given row ri, this is written as ri - srj → ri Note that when r
Displaying the cell arrays: There are several techniques of displaying the cell arrays. The celldisp function shows all elements of the cell array: >> celldisp(cellro
Finding products by for loop: an illustration, when 5 is passed to be the value of the input argument n, the function will compute and return 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5, or 15: >> s
Illustration of Set operations: For illustration, given the vectors as shown below: >> v1 = 2:6 v1 = 2 3 4 5 6 >> v2 = 1:2:7 v2 = 1 3 5 7
