Patients should be advised to consume plant origin proteins over those of animal origin. This is in view of the fact that plant origin foods, which are good sources of protein, are generally rich sources of dietary fibre, have low amounts of saturated Eat and are devoid of cholesterol, Egg white and lean meats (meat without fat) should be the preferred options in case of animal foods.
