Properties of Isozymes
Isozymes differ from each other not only in the amino acid composition, they also have different electrophoretic property, thermolability, immunological properties and kinetic properties such as substrate affinities i.e. different Km values.
Estimation of isozymes of some enzymes can be used for the clinical diagnosis of different diseases.
