Being well-informed about all your company products and services is necessary for the selling process and to giving good customer service. 

A salesperson should work at maintaining their product knowledge continually because products modify constantly.

Without excellent product knowledge, a salesperson cannot relate the differences between products to the customer and properly present the product features and advantages that will satisfy the customer's wants.
