Presentation on event planning group, Marketing Management

Assignment Help:

The Company President has asked your 'event planning group' to prepare a report and presentation on a possible 4 day 'get-away' for the company's TOP GUN sales leaders as of December 2009. The corporate culture is 'work hard and reap the rewards'.

You should plan on having about 16 TOP GUN winners and another 5 Senior Managers. The group will be about 60% male and 40% female, and the average age is around 35.

The President would like your group to look at having the 'get away' in the southern states where the median daytime temperature is 70F or 20C.

The group will travel by Air 'economy 'class. The flight must be direct and leave Toronto Pearson Airport no later than 9AM and the return flight to Toronto must arrive in Toronto no later than 9PM. The location you choose must offer 'entertainment' districts, 'historic' sites, shopping, etc.

The company has arranged for the participants to park their vehicles at Pearson Airport.

You are to consider the following when planning the event:

Wednesday will be a travel day - you are to determine the exact departure time based upon arriving at the destination no later than 3PM.

You are to ensure that the group travels with a commercial carrier and NOT with a discount or charter airline. You are to arrange for 'car' service from the airport to the destination hotel.

You are to select a 'four' or 'five' star hotel that is a major chain and NOT a boutique hotel.  The hotel must be located close to major attractions, entertainment areas, and is to have all of the expect amenities - lounge, dining, spa, exercise room, spacious guest rooms, pool area or beach, etc.
