Here the interviewer is likely to play an important role. Due considerations should be given to the followings points.a. Nature of the interviewer must suit the type of the inquiry.
b. Interviewer should be able to generate the interests of the respondent in the investigation.
c. Complete anonymity must be ensured.
d. The interview should try to complete the word quickly.
e. The respondent should be given some advance training to improve the quality of answer.
f. The respondent should be properly identified.
g.There should be sufficient flexibility in the interview.
h. The credibility of the sponsor should be known to the respondent.There may be other classification of a personal interview on the basis of approaching the questions. It may be either direct or indirect. In the case of indirect question, the main questions are intentionally disguised.
Thus there may be four types of personal interview( i) structure and direct interviews ( ii) unstructured and direct interviews( iii) structured and indirect interviews and ( iv) unstructured and indirect interviews.
