The performance of interconnection networks is measured on the below parameters.
1) Bandwidth: It determines maximum transfer rate between any two nodes. It is measured in MB per second or GB per second.
2) Functionality: It refers how interconnections network maintains synchronization, interrupt handling, request/message combines, coherence and data routing.
3) Latency: In interconnection networks different nodes can be at different distances depending on the topology. The network latency indicates to the worst-case time delay for unit message when transferred via the network between farthest nodes.
4) Scalability: It indicates to ability of interconnection-networks for modular expansion with a scalable performance with rising machine resources.
5) Hardware Complexity: It denotes to the cost of hardware logic such as switches, wires, connectors, arbiter which are needed for implementation of interconnection network.
ARP - Address Resolution Protocol It is the protocol that traces IP addresses to MAC addresses. RARP - Reverse Address Resolution Protocol It is the protocol within the TC
A generic algorithm is mostly analyzed on the basis of the following parameters: the time complexity (implementation time) and the space complexity (amount of space necessary). Usu
IGRP uses flash updates, poison reverse updates, hold down times, and divide horizon. How often does it broadcast its routing table updates? Ans) 90 seconds
Can you define the concept of VLSM?
Q. Flow control in TCP? The amount of data a source is able to send before receiving an ACK from the destination Whether to send 1 byte of data as well as wait for ACK
Q. Explain about Error Detection? Data can be corrupted during transmission because of accidents, Storms, sudden increase in electricity and voltage / decrease in signal power
Mean node-node path The mean node-node path is two times the mean node-root path. Number the levels of the tree with the root as 1 and the deepest level as N. The path from t
You should develop a system consisting of an application acting as a broker and several agents that need to communicate between them. The agents can only communicate in pairs (i.e.
Define Bandwidth and Latency? Network performance is calculated in Bandwidth (throughput) and Latency (Delay). Bandwidth of a network is given by the number of bits that can be
