Performance Appraisal and Individual’s Career Progression:
Performance appraisal assists in unearthing the individual’s potential for additional growth and development in the organisation. This assists the employee within taking up challenging jobs like they come. This assists him in knowing how he is performing upon his jobs. This guides and stimulates worker development. This assists him in getting promoted to higher levels within the organization. This provides a feedback to worker for self control and self development. Performance appraisal assists him into knowing the form of training programmes to be attended for better job performance and career growth.
