Oxidising Substances : It includes oxidising substances and the organic peroxides. Oxidising substances are by themselves not combustible but by feeding oxygen to other substances cause or contribute to their combustion. Organic peroxides (having 0-0-bond) undergo thermal decomposition leading to explosion and/or rapid burning. A few of the examples are potassium permanganate, potassium dichromate, hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid, acetyl peroxide etc.
