The overview structure can be understood with the help of the diagram given below:
Aggregate production or Output Planning: This plan is the production portion of the business plan and addresses the demand side of the firms activities by showings the outputs it will produce expressed in numbers of units of its product groups or families. Since various products groups may be produced at diverse plants facilities, or division each of them needs its own production plan. The division aggregate output (o/p) plan covers the emerging out from 6 to 18 months on a weekly or monthly basis. Planning at the level ignores such details as how many of each individual product, style color option /model to generate. The plan identifies the division existing fixed capacity and the company complete policies for maintaining inventories and back log employment stability and subcontracting.
