Olericulture: It concerned with the cultivation or development of vegetables yielding plants. Olericulture is the study of vegetable growing, dealing with the culture of non-woody like herbaceous plants for food. Olericulture is a kind of production of plants for use of their edible parts. Olericulture deals with the storage, production, marketing or processing of vegetables.
Olericulture encompasses crop establishment, including the seedbed preparation, cultivar selection or establishment of vegetable crops by seed & transplants. It also contains the maintenance and care of vegetable crops for commercial or non-traditional vegetable crop production including organic farming or organic gardening.
