Human resource development is needed to develop competencies: no organizations can survive let alone make a mark, if its employees are not competent in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes. Competent employees are as much the necessity of a non profit organization as of a profit making organization. Both types of organization need competent employees for the success of their internal and external operations. A profit organization interested in growing, diversifying or improving its working (such as cost reduction, reduction in the delays, increased diversifying or improving its working competencies. Similarly a non profit organization say a university or a hospital interested in improving its work culture, must first think of orienting its employees attitudes.
