Q. Measures to speed up the growth of HRM?

1. At the first instance, institutes various universities, Ministry of human resources development should be charged with the obligation of developing, changing moulding the attitudes values ethics, traits, aspirations, demands and the like of owner managers, employed managers, personnel managers and personnel towards the growth and vitality of the personnel management function.

2. Further, top management should place the personnel department at a level equal to the other functional departments in the organizational hierarchy and give importance to the personnel function managers at par with other functional managers in the marketing, finance etc.

3. The legal and welfare rolls of the personnel managers should be adequately integrated with human relations and management roles.

4. The job analysis of the personnel manager should be written strictly in accordance with the job and latest developments.

5. Candidates selected for personnel roles should invariably hail from reputed institutes.

6. Personnel managers should be creative and adaptive.

7. Personnel management function should be professionalized in the industrial and organizations of various sizes.
