Question

What are major considerations in selecting marine plants and land plants for fitting of band drains?

Answer

For fitting of band drains by marine plants, it has got to sufficient water depth to accommodate marine plants in first place. Though, due to effect of tides and waves, establishment of the position for installation of band drains and subsequent installation works can be affected. In adding together, establishment rate of marine plants is higher than of land plants.

For fitting of band drains by land plants, intricacy may be encountered during installation of band drains through reclaimed layer as C&D material. Land plants can take longer construction time due to above-mentioned difficulty. now and again while bring of public fill is enlarged suddenly, it could be preferable to place these fill at once into position and in this state installation of band drains is delayed so that construction of band drains is transformed to by land plants.
