Q. What are the main limiting factors for the growth of a population?

The factors that bound the growth of a population can be divided into abiotic factors and biotic factors. The major abiotic limiting factors are: availability of light and water, availability of shelter. The major limiting biotic factors are: population density and inharmonious (negative) ecological interactions (predatism, competition, parasitism, ammensalism).
