The Civil War, was an incredibly important war in shaping our nation. Not only did it destroy the horrors of slavery, it shifted the power from the Southern States, to the Northern States. Before the war, most of the power was in the slavery forced plantations, and after the war it shifted to the free labor Capitalists and the Industrialization of small family run businesses.
