Diagnosis of diabetes mellitus which included history taking, symptoms and signs and various tests which can be done to diagnose a case of diabetes. Diabetes Mellitus (DM) or diabetes is a chronic illness that requires continuous medical care to prevent acute complications and to reduce the risk of long-term complications. The laboratory assessment of a patient with diabetes should be done at baseline i.e. at first contact with the doctor and also needs to be monitored regularly throughout the course of the illness.
