1 reducing anxiety about upcoming training programmes or organizational changes by explaining their purposes.

2 introducing a subject and presenting an overview of its scope.

3 presenting basic material that will provide common background for subsequent activities.

4 illustrating the application of rules principles reviewing clarifying and summarizing.

Merits:

This method reduces the cost per trainee when large groups are to be trained in a short span of time.

As this method clearly explains the purpose the trainees feel less anxious about the forthcoming events or organizational changes.

This method is simple and effective.
