In mitosis the heredity material is equally distributed in the daughter cell.

As there is no crossing over or recombination, the genetic information remains unchanged generation after generation, thus continuity of similar information is ensured from parent to daughter cell.

Some organisms both plants and animals undergo asexual reproduction by mitosis.

The process by which lost organs are replaced by new ones takes place by mitosis.

Healing of wounds takes place by the formation of new tissue by mitosis.

It is also takes place by mitosis.

7.Development and Growth:

Development and growth of multicellular organisms depends upon orderly controlled mitosis.

8.Tissue Culture and Cloning:

Tissue culture and cloning seeks help through mitosis.

9.Tumors and Cancer:

The organisms requires managed, controlled and properly organized process of mitosis, which otherwise may result malfunction, unwanted tumors and lethal disease like cancer.
