In this unit, we have learned how the stacks are implemented using arrays and using liked list. Also, the advantages and disadvantages of using these two schemes were discussed. For example, when a stack is implemented using arrays, it suffers from the basic limitations of an array (fixed memory). To defeat this problem, stacks are implemented through linked lists. This unit also introduced learners to the concepts of multiple stacks. The problems related with the implementation of multiple stacks are also covered.
Q. What is the smallest value of n such that an algorithm whose running time is 100n2 runs faster than an algorithm whose running time is 2n on the same machine. A n
A binary tree in which if all its levels except possibly the last, have the maximum number of nodes and all the nodes at the last level appear as far left as possible, is called as
Q. Write down an algorithm to delete the specific node from binary search tree. Trace the algorithm to delete a node (10) from the following given tree. Ans. Algor
Relation between the time and space complexities of an algorithm The examining of algorithm focuses on time complexity and space complexity. As compared to time analysis, the a
A graph G might be defined as a finite set V of vertices & a set E of edges (pair of connected vertices). The notation utilized is as follows: Graph G = (V, E) Consider the g
Any binary search tree must contain following properties to be called as a red-black tree. 1. Each node of a tree should be either red or black. 2. The root node is always bl

Implement multiple stacks in a single dimensional array. Write algorithms for various stack operations for them.
In the previous unit, we have discussed arrays. Arrays are data structures of fixed size. Insertion and deletion involves reshuffling of array elements. Thus, array manipulation
