Sharp waste may cause injury and person may have diseases like Hepatitis B, Cand HIV/AIDS. Therefore it is important for to understand that while giving a insulin injection do not puncture your finger. And dispose off the syringe and needle carefully. Waste Sharp should be dispose off in a puncture proof Blue/White container. Chemical disinfection is mainly used for sharps. Commonly freshly prepared hypochlorite solution is used.
