How to use subcellular fractionation and a western blot, Biology

Assignment Help:

A virus capsid containing vimentin, your protein of interest, gets into the cell nucleus and is broken down with the DNA being released. It is unknown whether the capsids themselves breakdown into amino acids or remain intact within the nucleus. How could you use subcellular fractionation and a Western Blot to find out?

It's been a few years since I've taken any biology, and I'm vaguely familiar with the two techniques. An answer in the form of a labeled diagram would be really appreciated.
