How soap acts towards fat

Prepare another jar with warm water and oil just as you did in the experiment above. This time add about half a cup of either liquid soap or strong soap solution made by dissolving soap chips in water. Shake this mixture vigorously, permit to stand and compare with the sample from the last experiment. You should view that the soap has broken up the globules of fat and they are now distributed so that the mixture looks like milk.
