How much money did carlie have after she had paid her friend, Mathematics

Assignment Help:

Carlie received x dollars every hour she spent babysitting. She babysat a total of h hours. She then gave half of the money to a friend who had stopped through to help her. How much money did Carlie have after she had paid her friend?

To compute the total she received, multiply x dollars per hour times h, the number of hours she worked. This becomes xh. Divide this amount through 2 since she gave half to her friend. Therefore, xh/2 is how much money she has left.
