Allan has been hired to mow the school soccer field that is 180 ft wide through 330 ft long. If his mower mows strips which are 2 feet huge, how many times must he mow across the width of the lawn?

a. 90

b. 165

c. 255

d. 60

The width of the ?eld, 180 ft, must be divided by the width of the mower, 2 ft. The output is in which he must mow across the lawn 90 times. If you chose b, you computed as if he were mowing the length of the ?eld. If you chose c, you combined length and width, that would result in mowing the ?eld double.
