How is plant tissues classified according to their functions?
Plant tissues are separated into growth (embryonic) supporting, tissues, filling and photosynthetic tissues (ground tissues), conductive (vascular) tissues and covering (dermal) tissues.
The Embryonic tissues: A primary meristems; secondary meristems, Supporting tissues: collenchyma; sclerenchyma. Filling as well as photosynthetic tissues: photosynthetic parenchyma; storage parenchyma. The Conductive tissues: xylem; phloem. The Covering tissues: epidermis; periderm.
