Q. How is HIV transmitted? What is the disease caused by this virus?

The HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is supposed to be transmitted through blood, semen, vaginal secretions and maternal milk.

The HIV is the virus that causes AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome), a disease characterized by destruction of cells of the immune system making the body susceptible to many opportunistic and severe diseases.
