The customers visit the website and browse through the products, looking at pictures and products details. When the customer finds his desired product, he usually adds it to his cart by clicking the product picture. When the customer is done with selection, the payment step comes next by using credit, debit, charge or smart cards. Usually the merchant has the shipping details on the website, so the customer will know when the product arrives.
