How does computer know whether arriving frame has ARP msg, Computer Engineering

Assignment Help:

How does a computer know whether an arriving frame contains an ARP message? Explain.

The type field into the frame header gives that the frame contains an ARP message. A sender should assign a suitable value for the type field before transmitting the frame and a receiver should examine the type field in all incoming frames. For illustration, the Ethernet standard gives that the type field in an Ethernet frame carrying an ARP message should contain the hexadecimal value that is Ox806.
