How do the products of meiosis I differ from those of meiosis II?
In meiosis I, the offspring cells are haploid but every cell contains two copies of the chromosome because the original cell copied its DNA before meiosis I. The offspring cells of meiosis II are also haploid, but every cell contains only single copy of the chromosome because, unlike meiosis I, the cells do not copy their DNA before meiosis II.
