Consider the perceptions that both sides had at the beginning of the war. Your paper should address the following aspects in answering this question:
a) How did this perception change as the war dragged on?
b) How did each side respond to the lengthening conflict strategy-wise?
c) Which side was better prepared for a long conflict? Why?
